EVERY TIME I make a blog post I like to give my text some type of message - whether it's something touching, interesting or (more commonly) a pun-filled anecdote about my day. Most days however, I really don't do much apart from work behind a screen, eat peanut butter from the jar and nap on occasion. I have a feeling today is going to be one of those days..I have no complaints. In other news, I've finally started wearing that thing called denim that everyone's been talking about. Three sizes too big - just how I like it.

BREAKING a few fashion rules in this one. As if wearing a dress during a complete downpour wasn't impractical enough, I only had to go and leave the house in socks and sandals for the whole world to see - and judge. Turns out that shit is comfy as hell, expect it to be a common occurence from this day forward.

WORD on the street internet is that Spring has sprung (almost), which means it's about time I started working on my seasonal wishlist. This summer I'm going to try to keep it simple with just a few quality basics and bikinis - which reminds me - it's about time I started working on those abs too, or at least faking them with a bit of well-placed tanner. Fake it til you make it and all that.
Also decided to hop on the bandwagon and punch a few more holes in my ears, because I've finally come to terms with the fact that the Reposi cuff is just never going to happen. I like to think of body jewelery as an accessory I don't have to even think about before I leave the house - it's just the initial decision of who, what, where and when that takes the time..

THE SUN has been out for the past three days now - I think that must be a new record. To celebrate, I decided to throw on one of my first dresses of the year in the form of this Abercrombie long sleeve that arrived a few days ago. Remember my last wardrobe adventure with A+F jeans? Turns out they also make some great quality, nicely priced dresses too - with a very flattering fit if I do say so myself. There were so many choices on the site (jersey, lace, knit - you name it) that I wound up choosing a few other pieces to help me settle into spring too, including a light-wash denim shirt and woven shift dress. Not a piece of leather or black in sight ladies and gentlemen. Which begs the question: am I finally becoming the girly girl my grandmother always wanted me to be? Probably not. The legs might be out but the messy hair and biker jackets will never leave me - even in this scorching English heat. Who am I kidding..?

IF YOU haven't already noticed, I'm kind of a social media addict. Over the past few years it's taken over practically every aspect of life, but I'm hardly complaining. In fact, I've decided to use up the rest of the free time I have to do an online certificate in Social Media to keep me up to scratch with everything going on in the world of the internetz. Now if that's not dedication (or at least, a serious addiction) then I don't know what is.
I've just gotten all my paperwork through so I guess today is my official start date! I'm intending to spend it reading through the course handbooks with copious amounts of coffee and absolutely zero makeup. Oh the perks of a virtual classroom. Will keep you updated in how I get on! Expect a social media genius in 3..2..1..
